I write this post as I sit in the 3 day Chennai Trade Center, visiting an event organized by CII.
You will probably think that what is the value of participating in such events, as exhibitors/sponsors
or mere visitors. Well, if you do not see a value now, you will certainly see one soon.
Kidex isorganized by CII, who have created and sustained an environment conducive for industry since1895. Brief history about CII shows that it is one of the premier business organizations of the country, formed over 115 years ago, with a direct membership of 8000 companies, and indirect membership of 90,000 companies, around 400 regional & sectoral associations. So now you SHOULD know & be able to gauge the magnitude of any event organized by CII, which will surely have key decision makers from premier industry bodies.
If you feel 'Kidex' is for kids, you are certainly mistaken. There are other businesses available as well like PediaSure, Cadbury, the renounced Krishna Sweets in Chennai for Mysore Pak, Karnataka Soups, Dental Care, Nissin Foods & Spacecrafts selling electronic items. Too much potential for you to tap as an online marketer so if you are not here then where are you?
Events are a good medium to gain exposure into the different businesses functioning together in the cosmos. If you are smart enough to carry your pamphlets and businesscards, then you may exchange pleasantries, and follow up later.
Events are also one of the primary platforms where you can meet an avg of 40-50 companies together and fix meetings, follow up later and convert these leads. Much faster and an efficient way to reach your potential clients, than following the longer process of purchasing industry databases, setting up a calling team, them investing time in lead prospecting, sales calls, face to face meetings, proposal creation and then finally the online campaigns being created and made live. This procedural delay can cost your business big bucks.
So why not try visiting more industry events and forums, and expand your business.
