Entrepreneurs With A Difference...

I was recently switching between channels when I ended up watching an innovative business program on Times Now hosted by Shaili Chopra, remember the award winning business journalist who was recently hired by ET Now from NDTV Profit.... The gist of the one hour show was to showcase the business models of three budding entrepreneurs and in the end reward the most innovative entrepreneur with a Kingfisher return ticket to Europe :)

Well, the show certainly was interesting as we got acquainted with three young entrepreneurs, their business models, strategies, growth trajectory, vision and ability to sustain in the long run.

The first entrepreneur was Sandeep Maheshwari from Imagebazaar.com . The company was formed in 2006 and within 4 years some 8 lakh images have been downloaded. They had some more interesting numbers like 6000 clients in 112 countries, last year they did a business of 10.2 Crores & this year intend to grow up to 20 crores. And extremely impressive was the fact that all their competitors in the market are just 10% of their size.

The second entrepreneur was Vinayak Sinha from eIndiabusiness.com . Vinayak Sinha is the brain behind this global B2B portal, which was started in 2001 targeting business exchanges among SMB's.
They too have impressive numbers to their credit with an SME database of 4000 clients, 3000-4000 business inquiries per day, and a business of 3.5 crores trending to 5.5 crores. *A word of advice, if you are an entrepreneur who is looking for lead source...one more option for you apart from the TradeIndia's and the Fundoodata's.

The third entrepreneur had a very unique product (Infosoft Global) which falls into the niche category of "Data Visualization" in the broader software segment. Despite being a niche business, they have developed 14 products, with 17,000 customers in 100 different countries. Last year 22 crores from topline earnings, and did I just forget to mention who is behind all this- the two Nadhani brothers...Pallav and Sanket Nadhani.

So all in all this show was worth a watch, introduced me to 3 more businesses and their journey. Hope you enjoyed reading it.

Stay Tuned, Till I have more food for thought.
